An Eagle Departed
The world mourns the untimely death of Pius Noumeni Njawe – veteran journalist and publisher of Le MessagerNewspaper in Cameroon. While our hearts continue to bleed, we are comforted by haven been witnesses to his work, his dedication and his passion. Despite death threats and prison sentences, he stood tall and strong, reminding us that change can only come from persistence and progressive leadership.
It is our duty to ensure that his light never fades. With heavy hearts, we must lift ourselves and ensure that the pursuit of good governance, progressive leadership and universal freedoms, which he fought for, will come to pass. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, friends and loved ones. We will miss you.
