The CPS Journal of Cameroon Affairs (JOCA) will be the official publication of CPS and will be published quarterly. It will be used as an avenue to promote a renaissance of scholarly activities and research on Cameroon by Cameroonians and non-Cameroonians. This objective platform seeks to open the doors for candid discussions and policy initiatives on issues facing Cameroonians in the diaspora and in Cameroon.
We invite article submissions from the general public including original articles, book reviews, invited commentaries, opinion articles and reports directly dealing with the Cameroonian diaspora and Cameroon. Articles may be essays on observations during travel to Cameroon, recipes, poetry, etc. However, this forum may not be used for political discussions.
Articles may be written in French or English. Submission of an article is not a guarantee it will be published. Please submit articles to joca@cpsociety.org.
Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts should be between 2,000 and 4,000 words in length.
All pages should be double-spaced.
Manuscripts should be Microsoft Word documents (.doc or .docx)
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to joca@cpsociety.org
All tables, figures or other graphics should appear at the end of the article, should have captions, and should be numbered.
All abbreviations and symbols should be defined in the text
Where appropriate, the submitted manuscript should include a brief abstract (150 words or less) and the following sections: Introduction, Discussion, Summary, References, and other relevant information.
Submit a cover page with the manuscript with the following information: the title of the article, the date of submission, and the following information for all authors: name, official title and affiliation, office and/or home contact information (address, phone and fax numbers, email addresses). The manuscript should have the title of the article and the date of submission on the top of the first page of the manuscript.
Manuscripts submitted to JOCA must be original and unpublished work of the author(s) and must not be under consideration by other publications.Submitted articles become copyrighted works of CPS.
The author is responsible for obtaining any necessary written permission for use of copyrighted material contained within the article.References should be based on AMA Citation Style.
