At  the CPS we recognize the high value of volunteers to successfully launch our many events. We  are  always recruiting volunteers to help support  and organize our various events across the U.S. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please  complete the CPS Volunteer Application. How do i become a volunteer? 

To become a CPS a volunteer, all you have to do is complete the CPS Volunteer Application

Who can volunteer?

United Stated residents only.  High school , College, graduate students are strong encouraged to apply. Professionals can also volunteer.

Can international residents volunteer?  Currently CPS doesn’t offer international volunteering opportunities. As we continue to expand world-wide our needs may change. Please check back  for updates.

What opportunities exist? As of now we need volunteers in Houston , Dallas, NY,  New Jersey, Washington D.C.and Maryland. Tasks may vary depending on the type of event.  For the CPS Congress scheduled August 2014 at Rice University, volunteers are needed to serve in a variety of capacities from setting up for the event, registering attendees, introducing speakers, ushering,  and much more!Please check back periodically for updates  as we expand nationwide our volunteering needs will increase.

Can I become a full CPS  member as a volunteer?

Yes, you can. All you have to do is pay the discounted membership rate as a volunteer to become a full CPS member and take advantage of the many membership benefits we offer.

What are the CPS expectations of volunteers?

A major characteristic of a professional body like the CPS is that its members continually strive to improve the quality of life of the community it serves. Individuals deciding to affiliate themselves with the CPS assume the responsibility of conducting themselves in accordance to the ideals and standards set forth by the organization.  Can i volunteer even though i live in another State? Yes. These volunteers are called Off-Site Volunteers. You will need to have access to a computer with internet service, home phone and access to mobile device with internet service in other to registered as an Off-Site Volunteer.

How much time will be required? Time requirement is depending on the event.  For example for the CPS congress you’ll be required to commit to  8 hour morning shifts . For local CPS hub events, you’ll be required to assist in the planning process and execution of  the event.

Will I be paid? No. Volunteering at the CPS is not a paid position.
